In 2004, breast cancer struck someone close to our hearts. Stacy, our Financial Coordinator was diagnosed with ductal carcinoma insitu. Stacy elected to have surgery and due to early detection was fortunate not to need chemotherapy.

In celebration of women and men whose lives have been altered by this disease, Stacy participated in the Susan G. Komen 3-Day Breast Cancer Walk in October 2005. Stacy walked an average of 20 miles a day during each 3-day event, raising awareness throughout the San Diego community about breast cancer and generating significant funds for research and community outreach programs. The Breast Cancer 3-Day is unique because of the community experience participants get from the moment they register. Participants can choose to join training walks with other walkers, attend orientations and training expos, join a team or start their own team. The challenging event draws people of all ages and fitness levels.

This year, 40,000 American women and men will lose their battle with cancer, leaving 40,000 families to pick up the pieces. Stacy asks that you please help. This is the challenge you've been waiting for. Call (800) 966-3DAY to find out more.
