The patient, a 30 year old male, presented with a darkly stained, endodontically treated tooth.
CEREC Solution:
Treatment consisted of a CEREC Anterior Crown completed in a single visit appointment. The pulp chamber was greatly enlarged from previous bleaching attempts. The majority of the darkly stained tooth structure was removed in the preparation process and a Fibrekor post build up was placed to stabilize the underlying color and provide a sound foundation. Incisal edge layering was accomplished with Vita VM9 Window and Enamel porcelain over a 1M1C Vita block. Additional surface characterization was accomplished with Vita Akzent Akz 01, Akz 2, Akz 17 and glaze. The restoration was adhesively placed with Excite and Appeal Anterior.
Total time was approximately 2 hours and 10 minutes.
